Epicurious, 4 Levels

We asked three people to make a milkshake. A food scientist had notes.

An Epicurious series where an amateur, a home cook, and a professional chef make the same dish, and then a food scientist explains what each of them did.

Who was watching

People who cook dinner, as opposed to people who cook for a living. They wanted to learn something without feeling like they were back in class.

What we made for them

A show with a game built in. Three cooks, three very different milkshakes, and a food scientist who walks through what everyone got right and wrong. You end up picking a favorite before she says a word, and then you click the next one.

What they did

They watched longer and subscribed more. The team also got a lot faster at making them, which matters when the audience expects a new one every week.
